Southern California

Southern California: December 2nd – 17th, 2025

Home sweet home. I was born and raised in California and have never lived anywhere else in the world, so coming home for these couple of weeks, right before officially leaving on my journey, felt more important than ever. Many of my friends live in Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley, so it was essential to spend time with them. For the past three years, I lived in Laguna Beach, where I built some of my closest friendships and found a deep sense of comfort. This trip wasn’t just about visiting, it was about saying goodbye to the place I called home, my routines, and the comfort zone that had held me through so many chapters.

It’s so easy to take things for granted, the ocean sunrises, the sunshine, and the friends you’ve spent your whole life with, but this visit felt different. A little more final. While my goal is to live in California in some capacity forever, this journey comes with uncertainty, and I’m not sure when or how long it will be until I’m reunited with this beautiful Golden State.

I made it a point to visit not only my friends, but also my favorite workout studios and food spots, and it did not disappoint. I know I’ll be back one day, but until then, I’m off on my next adventure.
